Taiane Nunes dos Santos

My name is Taiane Nunes, I'm a 19-year-old survivor from Brazil. Today I am very proud to be part of the Survivor Alliance and a member of the Planning Committee for the World Congress.

Natashia Wilson

Ms. Wilson is a survivor of Sex Trafficking in which her traumatic journey started at the age of fourteen. Today Ms. Wilson is the first person in her family to become a survivor and to obtain a college degree. She holds an Associates in Human Services. A passionate speaker, and a Co-Author of the book entitled “Voices from the Edge”, where she educates and advocates for victims/survivors of color. 

Mariam Awori

Mariam Awori is a Licensed Counseling Psychologist, a technical assistant consultant and currently working as a program manager at Azadi, a survivor-led organization in Kenya. She has worked with grassroots NGO providing psychosocial support to survivors. She participated in the building the Action Plan For Survivor Leadership by Survivor Alliance.

 

Sarah Zalonis

Sarah Zalonis is a Planning Committee Member and Vice President of the Anthem award winning non profit Amara Legal Center. She is a consultant in the counter Human Trafficking sector, a contributor to UN Women's Global Compact, and previously a journalist.

Roshanlal

Roshanlal comes from a tribal community, and has been a member of Survivor Alliance since April 2023. The family's traditional occupation has been labor in stone mines and agriculture. Along with working as a labourer, he has continued his studies. He used to work as a laborer two days a week to study. Now he has started a new life by liberating his family from bonded labour. 2015 he graduated in Law from Nehru Gram Bharati University, Allahabad, and followed by his Masters in Sociology in 2022. Currently, he is a lawyer and survivor leader. Roshanlal is currently fighting a legal battle for the permanent freedom of this community.

Claudia Yurley Quintero

Claudia Yurley Quintero, an expert in the prevention and fight against human trafficking, with 18 years of experience in Colombia. She leads educational projects on gender equality, collaborating with NGOs and governmental entities. Awarded the CAFAM Women's Award in 2022, she promotes policies in favor of victims of gender-based violence, standing out in the documentation of cases and forming strategic alliances at national and international levels.

 

Cynthia

Cynthia Wambui is a community advocate and a technical assistant consultant for meaningful engagement for people with Lived Experience based in Kenya passionately advocating for the fight against human trafficking. A humanitarian, highly resourceful and a self-driven individual who has gained vast experience working with survivors.

Pearlgin Goba

Pearlgin Goba is a student at University of Gloucestershire, reading Urban Regional Planning and Design BSc (Hons) South African originally. Pearlgin has worked previously in the care industry as a healthcare and currently, engaging with World Congress Planning Committee as survivor leader. Pearlgin is particularly interested in Urban Environment and Regeneration.

Hassan

I am from Sierra Leone West Africa. I am honored to selected as a Planning Committee Member for Survivor Alliance World Congress in Kenya. With a passion for anti-trafficking and event planning and a commitment to global outreach, I am dedicated to ensuring a successful and impactful Congress experience for all participants.

 

Willz

Willz, a lived experience expert from Kenya, skillfully employs research, photography, writing, and various art forms to shed light on critical issues spanning mental health, rights, human trafficking, and modern slavery. A visionary Founder of Jafari Jata Solution, co-founded Studs Support Group and an intern at Free The Slaves.

Sonali Priyadarsini

Sonali, a passionate advocate is nurturing communities through solidarity and hope, & contributing towards a trauma-informed world. Through her work, she fosters empathy, resilience, and healing, creating safe spaces for collective growth. Sonali's passion lies in empowering others to thrive amidst adversity, embodying compassion and resilience in action.

Isaac adaghe

My name is Isaac Adaghe , I am a Nigerian and I live in Germany, I am a survivor of modern day slavery, I use my voice to fight against slavery, I am also a content creator on Facebook.

 

Shahid Ilyas

A survivor leader who has spent almost 2 decades struggling for the rights of survivors and victims of modern slavery. Holding a specialization in detecting and countering incidents of human trafficking within and outside Pakistan especially on Indo-Pak border areas and Pak-Afghanistan and Pak-Iran borders. Resolving dozens of cases debt bondage, domestic violence and child soldiers.

Chylian Ify Azuh

Chylian Ify Azuh is an architect, survivor leader, and the Founder of the Female Returned Migrants Network advocating for the rights of human trafficking survivors in Nigeria. She advocates for ending discrimination and violence against women and girls, aligning with the sustainable development goals. Chylian raises awareness for the prevention of human trafficking and safe migration through various platforms like radio, TV, conferences, and social media. She is the convener of several initiatives focused on women’s empowerment and migration issues such as Girls Community Outreach for Economic Growth, Ray of Hope Summit (ROHS 23/24), and Unfiltered Conversation on Migration. She has been recognized with the Peak Unstoppable Humans of Change Award and the NVA Awards for her outstanding contributions.
