National Lottery Grants for Heritage allows us to fund projects that connect people and communities to the national, regional and local heritage of the UK.
Requirements: your project must not start before we make a decision and it must focus on heritage in the UK. Deadlines for applications: there is no deadline so you can apply whenever you are ready. Apply here


The Human Trafficking Foundation’s Trafficking Survivor Emergency Support Fund is available to help victims of human trafficking and modern slavery with small one-off grants to meet their immediate needs when no other sources of funding are available. Apply for fund here


The following funders support similar work to Edge Fund, although tend to fund more formally set up groups and work that is considered ‘charitable’ (eg many would not support politically motivated / campaign groups but may support campaigns of registered charities). Please search for funding here

Training Opportunities

Familiar Trafficking Support group: (Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:30 pm EST// ZOOM / 2022) : Are you struggling with dynamics within your family because of your trafficking experiences? Do you need a safe space to express how you have been impacted by your family, without the fear of judgment, shame or guilt? This group is specific for survivors who have been trafficked by their family members.

Samworth Foundation is seeking a new trustee to join their team. The Samworth Foundation, a respected grantmaking charity, focuses on investing in organizations that are making a significant impact on social and environmental issues both in the UK and globally. As a trustee, you would share responsibility for governing the foundation and directing its management and operations. This role is a chance to help effectively distribute resources to organizations dedicated to creating positive change. If you’re passionate about making a difference and have a vision for a better future, consider becoming part of the Samworth Foundation’s journey as a trustee.

Main purpose of the role

Trustees are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the Samworth Foundation, its financial health, probity of its activities, and for setting and overseeing the delivery of the organisation’s aims and objectives.

Under the Charities Act 2011, trustees are responsible for:

1. Ensuring the charity is carrying out its purposes for the public benefit.

2. Complying with their charity’s governing document and the law.

3. Acting in the charity’s best interests.

4. Managing the charity’s resources responsibly.

5. Acting with reasonable care and skill.

6. Ensuring the charity is accountable.


Trustees are not paid, but reasonable expenses incurred whilst on trustee business, for example travel costs to attend a meeting, will be reimbursed. Read more about the role here.
