Award Amount: Maximum of $10,000

Eligibility Requirements:

  • U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen (U.S. legal residents or T-visa holders)
  • Must be a trafficking survivor
  • Must be a high school graduate, GED recipient, or current or prospective college student. (Students interested in Masters degree or PhDs can NOT apply).

Application Requirements:

  • Two letters of reference
    from a staff member at an NGO that provides support to human trafficking survivors; a trafficking victim caseworker; a social worker; or a mental health professional.
  • From a work supervisor or personal acquaintance


  • Written personal statement of 500-1000 words (about 2-3 pages)
  • Proof of financial need
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency

Granting Courage

Deadline: July 20
Type of Study Supported: College, graduate school or vocational-technical program

Award Amount: Up to $25,000

Eligibility requirements

  • 18 or older
  • High school graduate
  • Survivor of human trafficking or child exploitation(applicant can define human trafficking in their own words)
  • Enrolled or accepted in educational program
  • Can only receive award once

  • Current complete Transcript of grades
  • While not required, you may include information such as letters of recommendation, resume, biography, supplemental achievements or other supporting documents.
