Below, we provide a list of Educational Scholarships - offered by other organisations - which we think may be of interest. As Survivor Alliance we do not personally offer scholarships, but want to make you aware of opportunities that might be helpful!

'Granting Courage' Scholarship

Basic Information-

Funder: Homeland Security Philanthropy Council
Deadline: Unsure of 2020 deadline
Type of Study Supported: Undergraduate, Graduate or Cocational study
Award Amount: Up to $25,000

Eligibility Requirements-
  • 18 or older
  • High School Graduate
  • Survivor of human trafficking or child exploitation (The applicant can define human trafficking in their own words)
  • Enrolled or accepted in an educational program
  • Can only receive this award once
Application Requirements - 
  • Completed Application form (can be completed online - click here)
  • Current Complete Transcript of Grades
  • While not required, you may include information such as letters of recommendation, your resume, a biography, supplemental achievements or other support documents 



Catina Rose Memorial Scholarship

Basic Information-

    • Your Educational goals / Career Aspirations
    • High School Activities & achievements
    • Financial situation / need

'Passport to Freedom' Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

  • U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen (U.S. legal residents or T-visa holders)
  • Must be a trafficking survivor
  • Must be a high school graduate, GED recipient, or current or prospective college student. (Students interested in Masters degree or PhDs can NOT apply).

Application Requirements:

  • Two letters of reference:
    • One from a staff member at an NGO that provides support to human trafficking survivors; a trafficking victim caseworker; a social worker; or a mental health professional.
    • One from a work supervisor or personal acquaintance
  • Transcript including:
    • Written personal statement of 500-1000 words (about 2-3 pages)
    • Proof of financial need
    • Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency
